Cross-country skiing competitions in memory of Honored Forester of the RSFSR and TASSR Nurgali Minnikhanov were held in the Sabinsky district of the republic
In the village of the Forestry Enterprise of the Sabinsky municipal district, traditional cross-country skiing competitions were held in memory of the Honored Forester of the RSFSR and TASSR Nurgali Minnikhanov. The competition was attended by 10 teams ‒ representatives of the subdivisions of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Sabinsky forestry”, the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Educational and experimental Sabinsky forestry” and Meshinsky rural settlement.
According to the results of the competition, the team of the Meshinsky rural settlement won the fight for the first place. The second place is taken by the team of the Forest Seed Breeding Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, the third ‒ by the central office of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Sabinsky forestry”.
Minnikhanov Nurgali Minnikhanovich (03.24.1930 ‒ 02.17.2001) devoted more than 36 years to the forestry industry. In the period from 1962 to 1990, he headed the Sabinsky timber industry enterprise (now ‒ GBU RT “Educational and experimental Sabinsky forestry enterprise”). Nurgali Minnikhanovich made a significant contribution to the development of forestry in the Tatar ASSR. Under his leadership, an intensive model of forestry was introduced, production facilities for wood processing were created, thanks to which the Sabinsky timber industry enterprise was one of the leading enterprises in the forestry complex of the TASSR, a multiple winner of socialist competitions.
