The International Action “Garden of Remembrance” has started
On March 18, 2021, the International Action “Garden of Remembrance” started. The landings took place almost simultaneously in Grozny, Makhachkala, Nalchik and Novorossiysk. The central event took place in Sevastopol in Victory Park, where the garden was dedicated to the memory of the People's Artist of the USSR, the main ambassador and inspirer of the action, Vasily Lanovoy.
Anyone can take part in the campaign. To do this, it is enough to find the nearest promotion point on the map on the website: https://sadpamyati2021.rf/ and register for disembarkation.
The action will last until June 22, covering all 85 regions of Russia and abroad. The last memorial landing will take place in Brest on the Day of Remembrance and Mourning.
Let us remind you that the “Garden of Remembrance” is an annual action to plant 27 million trees in memory of the 27 million victims. In 2020, over 300 thousand people took part in it. The organizers of the action are the All-Russian public movement “Volunteers of Victory” and the Fund for the memory of the commanders of Victory with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and the Federal Forestry Agency, as well as the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, the action will take place at the end of April this year. According to preliminary data, it is planned to plant 350 thousand seedlings in memory of the great feat of 350 thousand Tatarstanians who did not return home from the front, to their relatives and friends.
