Today, the Ministry discussed the preparation for the fire hazardous season in the forests in the Chistopolsky municipal district. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The event, which was held in the videoconference mode, was attended by the head of the municipal district Dmitry Ivanov, head foresters, directors of forestry enterprises, heads of rural settlements.

The meeting was opened by the head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov.

Ramil Nurullin, head-forester of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bilyarsky forestry”, made a keynote speech on the work carried out in 2020 to ensure fire safety in forests. So, on the territory of Bilyarsky forestry, within the framework of a set of measures for fire-prevention arrangement of forests, work was carried out on the laying and renovation of fire-prevention mineralized belts with a total length of 140 km, the creation and reconstruction of fire-fighting roads  4 km. Also, information boards and banners on fire-fighting topics were installed, and recreation areas for citizens staying in the forests were improved.

“Currently, preparations for the fire hazard period of 2021 are in full swing. A plan for extinguishing forest fires has been developed, agreements have been signed on cooperation with firefighting and rescue units in the forestry area, patrol routes have been established for forest lands, training for forest fire stations and voluntary fire brigades is being conducted,” Ramil Nurullin said.

Minister Ravil Kuzyurov summed up the results of the meeting. “The successful passage of the fire hazardous season in the forests largely depends on quality training. It is necessary to do everything to prevent the occurrence of forest fires and agricultural burns near the lands of the forest fund, he stressed. I hope that by joint efforts we will be able to get through this period without emergencies.”
