Dear residents of Tatarstan!
On March 21, the world celebrates one of the most important ecological holidays ‒ International Day of Forests. It is intended to remind all inhabitants of the planet about the special role of forests and the need for an attentive and careful attitude towards them. This year's International Day of Forests is dedicated to the theme of “Reforestation”.
Forests are called the lungs of the planet for a reason, because they have a significant impact on the climate, the state of the atmosphere, water bodies, help to preserve soil fertility, landscapes, and are a natural habitat for many species of plants and animals. Therefore, the issues of preserving forest resources are today among the most important tasks for all countries of the world.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, systematic, purposeful work is being carried out to protect, protect and reproduction of forests, to ensure the rational and continuous use of forest resources. Our main priorities are related to the search for solutions to improve the efficiency of silvicultural, forest protection and forestry operations, updating the material and technical base of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry, introducing innovations and scientific achievements into production. All this is aimed at creating the most comfortable, healthy living environment and improving the quality of life of citizens.
I am sincerely grateful to every Tatarstan citizen for their indifferent attitude to the forest and active participation in the nature protection actions “Day of Forest Planting”, “Garden of Memory” and “Let's Save the Forest”. Since 2011, volunteers have planted 25 million seedlings in the republic on an area of over 7 thousand hectares. Thank you for your help and invaluable contribution to the conservation and growth of the forests of our native republic.
