Today, the Forest Seed Breeding Center of the Republic of Tatarstan has started sowing the first rotation of seeds of conifers.

“In total, 4 million seeds of pine, spruce and larch will be sown, ‒ said Ruslan Gazizov, director of the center. ‒ 14 people are involved in the work, we plan to complete the sowing in 2 weeks”.

For reference. The Forest Seed Breeding Center of the Republic of Tatarstan is the largest automated nursery in Europe, where planting material with a closed root system is grown. The production capacity of the center is 12 million units. planting material from ZKS per year. LSSTS RT covers an area of 11.3 hectares, on which there are 4 greenhouses, 13 growing fields, a building for cooling and storage of seedlings, 2 warehouses, etc. The center is equipped with modern equipment from the Swedish company BCC AB.

In 2020, 9.6 million pieces of Scots pine seedlings, 0.7 million pieces of European spruce seedlings, 0.8 million pieces of silver birch, 0.3 million pieces of Siberian larch, 0.6 million pieces of acacia.
