The State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Isleitarsky forestry enterprise” is preparing for the forest cultivation season of 2021. Today, the specialists of the institution have carried out work on “blackening the snow” ‒ scattering ash in greenhouses in order to accelerate the melting of the snow cover and preserve moisture in the soil.

“We have 2 greenhouses where we grow standard planting material, ‒ said the director of the forestry enterprise Murat Ibragimov. ‒ It is worth noting that “blackening the snow” also reduces the risk of contamination of seedlings with various diseases and the risk of spring sunburn, as it helps to reduce the reflection of sunlight.”
