In the Republic of Tatarstan, work is being carried out to “blacken the snow” in basic forest nurseries. “Spreading ash on sowing plots allows accelerating the snow cover and preserving moisture in the soil, – said Timur Galiev, head of the forest reproduction and afforestation department of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. – Also, this procedure reduces the risk of contamination of planting material with various diseases and the risk of spring sunburn.”
Thus, the employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Alkeevsky forestry” carried out such work on the territory of the nursery of the Bazarno-Mataksky district forestry. In total, 1,500 kg of ash were applied on an area of 0.6 hectares, 15 people were involved.
Specialists of the State Budgetary Institution of RT “Aksubaevsky forestry” performed such work on the territory of the nursery of the Aksubaevsky district forestry.
