Today, the Ministry discussed issues of preparation for the fire hazardous season in the forests in the Aktanyshsky municipal district. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The event, which was held in the videoconference mode, was attended by the head of the municipal district Engel Fattakhov, representatives of the district executive committee, the head of the GKU RT “Menzelinsky forestry” Ilnar Akhmetgaliev, the director of the GBU RT “Menzelinsky forestry enterprise” Aydar Khaliullin, heads of rural settlements.
The meeting was opened by the head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov.
In his welcoming speech, the head of the region, Engel Fattakhov, emphasized the importance of interaction of all structures in order to prevent the occurrence of forest fires. “Agricultural burns are especially dangerous; therefore, all heads of rural settlements are participating in this meeting,” he said.
Ilnar Akhmetgaliev, head-forester of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Menzelinsky forestry”, made the main report on the work carried out in 2020 to ensure fire safety in forests. “On the territory of Aktanyshsky district there are Aktanyshsky district forestry, part of Kalininsky and Yurtovsky district forestries. The total area of the forest fund is 19.9 thousand hectares,” he said.
Last year, within the framework of a set of measures for fire-prevention arrangement of forests, 12 km of new fire-prevention mineralized belts were created and maintenance of existing barriers with a total length of 70 km was carried out. Also, information boards and banners on fire-fighting topics were installed, and recreation areas for citizens staying in the forests were improved.
“Currently, preparations for the fire hazard period of 2021 are in full swing. To date, 17 warnings have been issued to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs of the Aktanyshsky region about the inadmissibility of violating fire safety requirements in forests. Forest fire brigades, mobile fire extinguishing groups have been formed, routes for ground patrolling of forest lands have been approved,” Ilnar Akhmetgaliev added.
Minister Ravil Kuzyurov summed up the meeting. “Forest fire propaganda is an integral part of the complex of measures to prevent the occurrence of forest fires. I ask you to intensify campaigning and preventive work among the population to comply with fire safety rules in forests with the beginning of the fire hazardous season,” the minister said.
