Today, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov held a videoconference meeting on the preparation for the fire hazardous season in the forests of 2021. The event was attended by Deputy Ministers Ilgizar Zaripov, Rais Gumerov, Head of the Ministry Elmira Shagaeva, Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” Aydar Gaifullin, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry, head foresters, directors of forestry enterprises, heads of forest fire stations of the republic.
Aidar Gaifullin delivered the keynote speech. He said that the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” includes 5 type III forest fire stations located in Vysokogorsky, Laishevsky, Sabinsky, Kaibitsky and Leninogorsky municipal districts, and a regional dispatch service. “The staffing level during the fire season is 90 people (60 of them are seasonal workers),” said Aydar Gaifullin.
He briefly dwelled on the complex of measures completed in 2020 for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests, the installation of information boards and notices on fire-fighting topics, patrolling the forest fund and forest fire propaganda.
“In general, during the fire hazardous season last year, 921 thermal points were registered in the information system for remote monitoring of forest fires of the Federal Forestry Agency. Of these, 318 cases of fires were confirmed in the areas bordering the forest fund,” added the director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center”.
As tasks for 2021, Aydar Gaifullin outlined the prevention of forest fires and the completion of type III forest fire stations in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of 07.19.2019 No. 1605-r.
Gulnara Mukhametkhanova, head of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bugulminsky forestry”, and Spartak Yelivanov, director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Nurlatsky forestry enterprise”, spoke about the preparation for the fire hazardous season in the forests.
Summing up the results of the meeting, Minister Ravil Kuzyurov gave a number of instructions related to patrolling the lands of the forest fund and conducting agitation and preventive work among the population to comply with fire safety rules in forests. “We must not forget that the success of the fire-fighting campaign depends on the well-coordinated work and interaction of all structures,” the minister emphasized.
