In 2021, protective forest plantations will be laid in the Republic of Tatarstan on an area of 1,748 hectares. Of these, gully and ravine ‒ 1639.5 hectares, field-protective forest plantations ‒ 108.5 hectares. The work will be performed within the framework of the Forest Reproduction subprogram of the Forestry Development of the Republic of Tatarstan 2014-2024 program.

It is expected that the forest cultivation season in the Republic of Tatarstan will be opened on April 19 this year.

For information. Today the total area of all protective forest plantations in the republic is 145 thousand hectares. Over the past 10 years, such plantings have been created on an area of 21 thousand hectares, incl. over 5 years ‒ 11 thousand hectares.
