The spring stage of the republican environmental action “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has started in Tatarstan
The republican nature conservation action “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has started today in Tatarstan. This year it will be held in 2 stages: from April 19 to June 19 and from September 13 to November 13.
As part of the spring stage of the action, it is planned to clean up the territory of the republic's forest fund from solid municipal waste, dead wood and dead wood, as well as repair and equip sold-out houses, information boards and resting places in the forest.
The Republican environmental action “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has been carried out by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2010. Its main goal is to create a favorable sanitary and ecological situation in the forests. The action takes place in all municipal districts of Tatarstan. Along with specialists from subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, among the permanent participants in the action are employees of ministries, departments, institutions, organizations, enterprises of the republic, tenants of forest plots, representatives of horticultural associations, cooperatives, environmental associations, students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, volunteers.
In 2019, about 14 thousand people joined the republican environmental action “Clean Forests of Tatarstan”. As a result of the action, from the forest fund, solid municipal waste, dead wood and fallen trees in the amount of 3840 cubic meters were collected and removed. In addition, more than 450 information boards, notices, recreation areas were repaired and 17 springs were improved. In 2020, due to the difficult epidemiological situation associated with the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, the action was not carried out.
