Ravil Kuzyurov spoke at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan about the start of silvicultural work and the readiness of the Ministry for the passage of a fire hazardous season in forests
Today a briefing was held at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The minister spoke about the beginning of forestry work in the Republic of Tatarstan, the readiness of the Ministry for the passage of a fire hazardous season in forests and environmental actions.
“Since 2019, reforestation work in the republic has been carried out within the framework of the regional project “Preservation of Forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the federal project “Preservation of Forests” of the national project “Ecology”. Its main goal is to ensure a balance of forest depletion and reproduction in a ratio of 100% by 2024, - Ravil Kuzyurov noted. - To achieve this goal, 2 target indicators have been identified: “The ratio of the area of reforestation and afforestation to the area of cut down and dead forest stands” and “Damage from forest fires”. The design value of the first indicator for 2021 is 77.7%.”
The minister said that this year in the Republic of Tatarstan, according to a regional project, reforestation work will be carried out on an area of 3855 hectares. Along with this, protective forest plantations will be established on agricultural land on an area of 1748 hectares, within the boundaries of the Aznakayevsky municipal district - on 1650 hectares.
“Thus, in total, in 2021, work on reforestation and afforestation will be carried out in Tatarstan on an area of 7253 hectares, - he added. - The forestry season opened yesterday, April 19. Experts from Nurlatsky, Leninogorsky, Mamadyshsky, Sabinsky and Cheremshansky forestry enterprises of the republic were among the first to start planting forest plantations.”
To carry out reforestation work last year in the basic forest nurseries and the Forest Seed-Breeding Center of the Republic of Tatarstan, 37.4 million pieces of standard planting material were grown, incl. conifers - 28.8 million pieces, hardwood - 7.5 million pieces, shrubs - 1.1 million pieces.
In addition, within the framework of the forest cultivation season of 2021, specialists of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - forestry enterprises will carry out work on agrotechnical care of forest crops on an area of 14452 hectares, supplementing forest crops - on 4063 hectares and sowing seeds in basic forest nurseries - on 20 hectares.
“The second, no less important task now facing the specialists of the forestry industry of the Republic of Tatarstan is to ensure fire safety in the forests, - Ravil Kuzyurov emphasized. - The next fire hazardous season in the forests was opened on April 15th.”
In preparation for the fire hazard period, a Consolidated plan for extinguishing forest fires in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan was developed, more than 1.3 thousand warnings were issued to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs about the inadmissibility of violating fire safety requirements in forests, and a contract was concluded for the provision of services for air patrolling of the forest fund of the Republic Tatarstan.
According to the minister, fire safety in the forest is provided by 20 type II forest fire stations as part of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Leskhoz”, 5 type III forest fire stations as part of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” and 14 points of concentration of fire-fighting equipment. Currently, in the Republic of Tatarstan, space and ground monitoring of the fire hazard is being carried out, a set of measures for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests has begun, and agitation and explanatory work is also being carried out among the population on the observance of fire safety rules in forests.
Also, the head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan dwelled on the ongoing actions. “Yesterday, April 19, the republican environmental action “Clean forests of Tatarstan” started. This year it will be held in 2 stages: from April 19 to June 19 and from September 13 to November 13, - said Ravil Kuzyurov. - Within the framework of the spring stage of the action, the territory of the republic's forest fund will be cleaned from solid municipal waste, dead wood and dead wood, in addition, it is planned to repair and equip sold-out houses, information boards and resting places in the forest.”
May 8 this year on the territory of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan an international action “Garden of Memory” will be organized, the minister said. In total, 350 thousand seedlings are planned to be planted on this day in memory of the great feat of 350 thousand tatarstanians who did not return home from the front, to their relatives and friends. Representatives of subordinate institutions of the Ministry, executive committees, institutions, organizations, enterprises of municipal districts, youth public associations, students of educational institutions, volunteers will take part in planting trees.
It is expected that a total of 1 million seedlings will be planted within the framework of the International Action “Garden of Memory” (taking into account the lands of the forest fund and settlements).
