Today in the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District, a meeting of the headquarters was held in the mode of videoconference to coordinate activities to extinguish forest fires in the Volga Federal District. The meeting was chaired by the head of the department, Alexander Ornatsky.
The event was attended by representatives of forestry management bodies of the Volga Federal District, incl. from the Republic of Tatarstan - Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Rais Gumerov and head of the sector for the protection and protection of the forest fund of the Ministry Alexei Mosunov.
During the meeting, issues of ensuring fire safety in forests in the regions of the Volga Federal District were considered. “The fire hazardous season in the forests is open in all regions, a special fire regime - in ten regions, - said the head of the department, Alexander Ornatsky. - Since the beginning of the season, 5,700 patrols of forest lands have been carried out and 96 protocols have been drawn up for violation of fire safety requirements in forests.”
“In the upcoming May holidays, it is necessary to strengthen monitoring of the fire hazardous situation and advocacy among the population on the observance of sanitary and fire safety rules in forests, - he added. - I also ask you to complete all fire-prevention measures on time.”
