On May 8, 2021, on the territory of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, the International Action “Garden of Memory” will be held, timed to the celebration of the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the forestry management body of the Republic of Tatarstan. In total, 350 thousand seedlings are planned to be planted on this day in memory of the great feat of 350 thousand Tatarstan people who did not return home from the front to their relatives and friends.

Near Kazan, the action will take place at 3 sites - on the territory of Matyushinsky (near the village of Voronovka), Vysokogorsky (near the Akinskaya Polyana residential area), and Iske-Kazansky district forestry (near the village of Ivanovka) of the Prigorodny forestry (site coordinates: 55.639970°N 49.100214°E, 55.925614°N 49.224390°E, and 55.959149°N 49.337139°E).

The area of the site on the territory of the Matyushinsky district forestry is 3 hectares, Vysokogorsky - 2.5 hectares, Iske-Kazansky - 4 hectares. For planting on these sites, 40 thousand spruce and pine seedlings were prepared.

We invite everyone to join the International Action “Garden of Memory” and plant a tree in honor of their hero.

The action starts at 10:00. Gloves, shovels, and seedlings will be handed out on site.

It is worth noting that the International Action “Garden of Memory” started in the Republic of Tatarstan on April 20 and will last until June 22, 2021. As of May 7, this year, 75 thousand trees have been planted. It is expected that a total of 1 million seedlings will be planted as a result of the action.
