The Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan is working on checking the seeds of forest plants before placing them in the insurance fund
In the branch of FBU “Roslesozashchita” “Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan” work is underway to check the seeds of forest plants before laying them in the insurance fund.
“Since the beginning of the year, 2 consignments of European spruce and Scotch pine seeds have been received from the Mamadyshsky and Arsky forestry enterprises of the republic with a total volume of 10 kilograms, - said Elena Murzaeva, head of the Tatar forest seed station department. - The seeds have been tested by regulatory requirements, the first quality class was awarded. According to the results of the inspection, certificates were issued.”
It should be reminded that the insurance fund for forest seeds was created by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan to ensure work on reforestation and afforestation in case of lean years. The seeds are stored in a specialized warehouse of the Forestry Seed-Breeding Center of the Republic of Tatarstan in the village of forestry enterprise of the Sabinsky municipal district. Currently, the fund has 295 kg of coniferous seeds, including pine - 176 kg, spruce - 105 kg, larch - 14 kg.
