The first results of the implementation of the national project “Ecology” in 2021: reforestation and afforestation were carried out in Tatarstan on an area of 1400 hectares
In the Republic of Tatarstan, several events have been completed within the framework of the spring forestry season 2021. So, the employees of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - forestry enterprises carried out reforestation work on an area of 1400.1 hectares (100% of the plan), including planting forest crops - on 1295.5 hectares, afforestation - on 104.6 hectares.
Let us remind that in total this year in the republic on the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the national project “Ecology” reforestation works will be carried out on an area of 3855 hectares. Also during the year, it is planned to procure 11.4 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species and grow 30.9 million pieces of standard planting material.
Along with this, other activities for the reproduction of forests are continuing in Tatarstan. So, as of May 12 of this year, work on the establishment of ravine and ravine forest plantations was carried out on an area of 1387 hectares (79%), the addition of forest crops - on 2130 hectares (51%), sowing seeds in basic forest nurseries - 13.1 hectares (62%).
For reference. The regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” within the framework of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology” began to be implemented in 2019. Its main goal is to ensure a balance of forest depletion and reproduction in a ratio of 100% by 2024. To achieve this goal, 2 target indicators have been established: “the ratio of the area of reforestation and afforestation to the area of cut and dead forest stands, %” and “damage from forest fires, million rubles”. At the end of 2020, the values of the indicators amounted to 179% and 0 rubles, respectively.
