Today in the IA “Tatar-inform” held a press conference dedicated to the introduction in the Republic of Tatarstan of the regime of restriction of citizens' stay in forests and the entry of vehicles into them. Ilgizar Zaripov, First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about the peculiarities of the regime, as well as the work carried out by the Ministry to prevent the occurrence of forest fires.
“Since May 10, abnormally hot weather has been established on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan with average daily temperatures of 9 degrees or more above the norm. In connection with the high class of fire hazard in forests, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated May 12, 2021, No. 329 from May 14 in the republic introduced restrictions on the stay of citizens in the forests, the entry of vehicles into them and the performance of certain types of work in the forests, except through travel on public roads of persons carrying out activities on the use of forests by the current legislation, - said Ilgizar Zaripov. - Restrictions are established about forests located on the lands of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan.”
According to the decree, specialists of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out work on the installation of warning notices about the introduction of a restriction and the period of its validity and the blocking of forest roads with barriers.
“To ensure fire safety in the forests, the around-the-clock watch has been organized in subordinate institutions, patrolling in forest areas has been strengthened, temporary posts have been organized in places of mass visits to forests on weekends. The full readiness of the fire extinguishing forces and means, including reserve ones, for a prompt response to reports of forest fires has been ensured, - the First Deputy Minister added. - Also, additional information is being carried out to the population through the mass media about the situation with wildfires and responsibility for violations of fire safety rules in forests.”
According to Ilgizar Zaripov, fire safety in the forest is provided by 20 types II forest fire stations as part of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Leskhoz”, 5 types III forest fire stations as part of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” and 14 points of concentration of fire-fighting equipment. Currently, the Republic of Tatarstan is conducting space, aviation, and ground monitoring of the fire hazard, a set of measures for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests, as well as agitation and explanatory work among the population on the observance of fire safety rules in forests. In addition, the regional dispatching service of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” operates around the clock.
After that, the first deputy minister answered questions from journalists, in particular, about responsibility for violation of fire safety rules in forests, interaction with forestry management bodies of neighboring regions, etc.
