Student of the Lubyanka Forestry College Vladimir Shishkin participates in the XVIII All-Russian Junior Forestry Contest “Undergrowth”

Today the final distance stage of the XVIII All-Russian Junior Forestry Competition “Undergrowth” (“For the preservation of nature and respect for forest resources”) has begun.

The competition is held in the following nominations: “The best experimental research work of students of professional educational organizations of forestry profile”, “Forest science and forestry practice”, “School forestry - program and methodological support of activities”, “Project environmental activities”, “Ecology of forest animals” and “Ecology of forest plants”. In total, the jury will consider the works of 84 finalists from 50 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Among them is a student of the State Budgetary Educational Institution “Lubyanka Forestry College” Vladimir Shishkin, who will present the project “The use of satellite navigation equipment in forest inventory work in the conditions of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Lubyanka forestry”.

Let us remind you that the All-Russian junior forest competition “Undergrowth” has been held since 2004. Its goal is environmental education and support for the initiative of educational institutions of the country to expand and deepen knowledge about forests, acquire skills in forest ecology, forestry, and methods of forest protection, care, and restoration of forests. Traditionally, students from general educational organizations from 14 to 18 years old, students from professional educational organizations aged from 16 to 21 years old, as well as heads of school forestry departments, teachers of additional education, specialists of forestry, and environmental organizations, take part in the competition.
