The Ministry discussed issues of ensuring fire and sanitary safety in forests

Today, the Ministry hosted a videoconference meeting on fire and sanitary safety in forests. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The event was attended by Deputy Ministers of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, Rais Gumerov, heads of forestry, and directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.

First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov delivered a keynote speech. “According to forecast data, in the period from 1 to 7 June in the Republic of Tatarstan, a high class of fire hazard in forests will remain, - said Ilgizar Zaripov. - According to the information system of remote monitoring of the Federal Forestry Agency, today 722 thermal points are registered in the Republic of Tatarstan. This is 308 points more compared to the same period last year. It is necessary to continue systematic work to prevent the occurrence of forest fires.”

The First Deputy Minister gave the foresters several instructions related to patrolling the lands of the forest fund, the implementation of a set of measures for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests, forest fire propaganda, etc.

Ilgizar Zaripov also dwelled on changes in forestry legislation governing the procedure for conducting forest pathological examinations and measures to prevent the spread of harmful organisms.

The results of the meeting were summed up by the head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. “Carefully study all the documentation related to sanitary safety in forests, - Ravil Kuzyurov said addressing the videoconference participants. - In addition, I ask you to pay special attention to the aspects of working with the Geoinformation System of the Forest Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and, in general, to the issues of digitalization of the forest industry. As you know, from July 1 of this year, the acts of forest pathological examination will be accepted exclusively in electronic form.”
