Today in the Federation Council Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on agrarian and food policy and environmental management, parliamentary hearings were held in the mode of videoconference on improving state policy in the field of forestry.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management Vladimir Lebedev, Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Sovetnikov, representatives of forestry management bodies, incl. from the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry.
Presentations at the meeting were made by the head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Sovetnikov, member of the committee on agrarian and food policy and environmental management, chairman of the Expert Advisory Council for the forestry complex Tatyana Gigel, director of the Department of State Policy and Regulation in the Field of Forest Resources and Hunting of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia Andrey Gribennikov, etc.
They talked about the developed draft federal laws on amending the Forest Code of the Russian Federation aimed at unifying the conceptual apparatus, reforming the forest management system, regulating the use of forests for recreational activities with the placement of facilities intended for recreation, tourism, physical culture, and sports, etc. Recall that these bills passed the second reading in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Also during the hearings, issues of support for young specialists in the forestry industry, preservation of labor dynasties in the field of forestry, etc. were discussed.
