Today, the Ministry hosted a videoconference meeting to discuss the tasks for the upcoming period. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The event was attended by the heads of forestry and forestry directors of the republic.

Deputy Ministers of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov and Rais Gumerov made reports at the meeting.

Ilgizar Zaripov spoke about the current forest fire situation in the Republic of Tatarstan. He recalled that following the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 456 dated June 15, 2021, the Republic of Tatarstan restricted the stay of citizens in forests and the entry of vehicles into them from June 16 to 21 calendar days. Restrictions are established with forests located on the lands of the forest fund of the republic.

“According to forecast data, the republic is expected to have IV and V class of fire hazard in forests by June 28,” added Ilgizar Zaripov. “To ensure fire safety, it is necessary to strengthen patrolling in forests, organize additional fire-fighting measures and ensure full readiness of fire-fighting forces and equipment, including reserve ones, for a prompt response to messages about forest fires.”

Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov dwelled on issues of production of marketable products, the performance of work and provision of services, supply of timber to enterprises of the republic, and effective operation of equipment.

The results of the meeting were summed up by the head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. “The main cause of forest fires, and this is more than 90% of cases, is negligence or carelessness of a person, failure to comply with fire safety requirements in forests. I ask the foresters to continue systematic explanatory work among the population,” he stressed.
