Today in the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District, a meeting of the headquarters was held in the mode of the videoconference to coordinate activities to extinguish forest fires in the Volga Federal District. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Head of the Department Sergei Kovalev.
The event was attended by representatives of forestry management bodies of the Volga Federal District, incl. from the Republic of Tatarstan - First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry.
During the meeting, issues of ensuring fire safety in forests in the regions of the Volga Federal District were considered. Representatives of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Nature and Cyclical Economy of the Ulyanovsk Region, and the Ministry of Natural Resources, Forestry, and Ecology of the Perm Territory made reports.
After listening to the reports, the deputy head of the department, Sergei Kovalev, gave several instructions related to patrolling the lands of the forest fund, implementing a set of measures for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests, forest fire propaganda, etc.
Sergey Kovalev also dwelled on the issues of the digitalization of the forest industry. He recalled that from July 1, 2021, the acceptance of forest declarations, reports on the use of forests, forest protection from fires, forest protection, forest reproduction and afforestation, forest protection from pollution and other negative impacts, acts of forest pathological surveys in public authorities will have to be carried out exclusively in electronic form through unified portals of state and municipal services.
