Employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bugulminsky forestry enterprise” started seed harvesting of Siberian larch. “This year the Republic of Tatarstan records a rich harvest of Siberian larch cones. Taking into account that it is a rarity, we plan to collect the maximum number of cones of this species, - told the director of the forestry enterprise Sagid Abdullin. - A total of 10 people are involved in the work.”
“After collecting cones, they will be sent for processing to the cone dryer, and the seeds will be sown in the forest nursery of Bugulma Forestry. In the future, the grown seedlings will be used to create new plantations. Thus, we will be able to increase the area occupied by this valuable breed”, Sagid Abdullin added.
