Specialists of the Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan assess the economically possible seed collection at forest seed production facilities

Employees of the branch FBU "Roslesozashchita" - "Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan" visit forest seed growing sites of the Republic to analyze the economically possible collection of seeds of small conifers. Specialists have already visited the forest seed sites of Isleitarsky, Prigorodny, and Zelenodolsky forestries.

"According to preliminary data, the yield of spruce and pine at the forest seed sites is assessed as satisfactory," said Elena Murzaeva, head of the department "Tatar Forest Seed Station" of the branch. - The final results of the survey will be known later".

Please be reminded that the Republic of Tatarstan has forest seed plantations with improved hereditary properties to provide reforestation work with seeds with improved hereditary properties, which are located on an area of 91 hectares, and permanent forest seed areas - 1251 hectares. The main share of these areas is occupied by English oak - 89%, Scots pine - 7%, European spruce - 3%, and Siberian larch - 1%.
