On July 29-31, based on the Lubyanka Forestry College, the IV Meeting of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held
From July 29 to July 31, 2021, the IV Meeting of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held based on the Lubyanka Forestry College in the village of Lubyany, Kukmorsky municipal district. The event will be attended by 93 people from 31 school forestry, in total, the gathering will bring together 200 people.
On the first day of the meeting, schoolchildren will take part in the conference “The future of the forests of Tatarstan is in our hands” and the competition “Visiting card”. During the conference, students will present their research work in the sections “Forest and Man” (projects in the field of ecology, biology, forestry, etc.) and “Practical environmental activities” (projects in the field of improving the ecological situation in forestry, resource conservation, safety life activity, etc.). It is also planned to open a “Village of school forestry”.
The next day, July 30, the official opening ceremony of the IV Gathering of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the main competition “Young foresters” will take place. Participants will have to undergo testing and perform several practical tasks in the areas of “Botany and Dendrology” (to determine the type of plant by leaves and shoots, tree species and type of shrub by seeds), “Taxation” (to find out by eye and using tools the diameter, height, age of a tree ), “Protection and protection of forests” (to establish the type of bird, stem, pine and leaf-gnawing pests of the forest in appearance and living environment), “Reforestation and afforestation” (to demonstrate the main methods and technologies for planting seedlings and seedlings), “Geodesy” (orientation with compass) and “Fire extinguishing” (imitation of fire extinguishing).
Also on this day, masterclasses will be held on artistic painting on wood, wicker weaving, making toys from natural materials and round tables for leaders and curators of school forestries on the topics “Organization and planning of activities of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan”, “Development of the movement of school forestries of the Republic Tatarstan”.
On the last day, July 31, the results will be summed up and the winners of the IV Meeting of school forestries of the Republic of Tatarstan will be awarded.
