In the autumn, in Tatarstan, work will be carried out to supplement forest crops on an area of more than 2 thousand hectares

In early September, the autumn forest cultivation season of 2021 will be opened in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, employees of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - forestry enterprises - will have to carry out work to supplement forest crops on an area of 2071 hectares. It is also planned to create protective forest plantations on agricultural land on an area of 212 hectares, within the boundaries of the Aznakaevsky district - on 365 hectares, prepare soil plots for next year's crops on an area of 1276.5 hectares and prepare at least 11455 kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species.

Currently, the republic continues to carry out work to promote natural reforestation, agrotechnical care of forest crops, clearing deadwood, and selective felling in field-protective forest plantations.

For reference. Earlier in 2021, reforestation was carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan on an area of 1400.1 hectares. Of these, planting of forest cultures - on 1295.5 hectares, afforestation - on 104.6 hectares. Also, protective forest plantations were laid on agricultural land on an area of 1536 hectares, in the Aznakayevsky district - on 1285 hectares.
