Today the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov held a meeting on ensuring fire safety in forests. The event, which was held in the videoconference mode, was attended by Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov, business manager Elmira Shagaeva, heads of structural divisions of the Ministry, head foresters, and directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.
The main report at the meeting was made by the Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Rais Gumerov. "Hot weather with high average daily temperatures remains on the territory of the republic. Until August 16, the IV class of fire hazard in forests is predicted in Tatarstan," said Rais Gumerov. "In general, according to the information system for remote monitoring of forest fires of the Federal Forestry Agency, 936 thermal points have been registered to date, which is 379 points more than in the same period last year."
The Deputy Minister recalled that following the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 671 dated 02.08.2021, the Republic of Tatarstan introduced restrictions on the stay of citizens in forests and the entry of vehicles into them from August 2 to 21 calendar days. "Therefore, it is necessary to continue the systemic monitoring of the fire hazardous situation and the implementation of a set of measures for the fire-prevention arrangement of forests," he said.
Rais Gumerov also briefly dwelled on the course of the admissions campaign at the Lubyanka Forestry College.
Summing up the results of the meeting, the head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov gave the heads of subordinate institutions several instructions related to patrolling the lands of the forest fund of the republic and conducting agitation and preventive work among the population to comply with fire safety rules in forests. "Undoubtedly, this year in Tatarstan the forest fire situation is more complicated. However, we must do everything we can to prevent emergencies from occurring. In no case should control be weakened," the minister stressed.
