The head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov instructed to continue systematic work on the establishment of protective forest plantations in the Sarmanovsky region

Today the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov paid a working visit to the Sarmanovsky municipal district. The goal is to familiarize with the activities of the subordinate institutions of the Ministry. When inspecting the objects, he was accompanied by the head of the municipal district Farit Khusnullin.

Upon arrival, the head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov held a visiting meeting on the issues of ensuring fire safety in forests. The reports were made by the head foresters of the Aznakaevsky and Nizhnekamsky forestries Ramis Galiullin, Radmir Galimov, the directors of the Aznakaevsky and Nizhnekamsky forestry enterprises Eduard Chikurov and Ildus Safin. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of patrolling the lands of the forest fund, the readiness of forces, and means of forest fire units for a prompt response to messages about forest fires.

After that, Ravil Kuzyurov assessed the quality of the created forest plantations in quarter 27 of the Lyakinsky district forestry of the Nizhnekamsky forestry, the established field-protective forest plantations on agricultural lands of LLC Agrofirma Nurkeevo and gully-ravine forest plantations near the village of Kulmetyevo. He was told that protective forest plantations on an area of 29 hectares would be established in the district in the autumn.

At the end of the working trip, the minister instructed the heads of subordinate institutions to continue systematic work on protective afforestation. "At present, the forest cover of Sarmanovsky district is only 6%. The creation of protective forest plantations on agricultural land, ravines, gullies, sands, and other inconvenient areas will not only protect the land from water and wind erosion but also increase forest cover," he said.
