A solemn event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the state forest management body of the Republic of Tatarstan and Lubyansky forestry technical college took place in Lubyany
Today the festive event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the State Forestry Management Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan and Lubyansky Forestry Technical College took place in the Lubyany village of the Kukmor municipal district. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Anoprienko, Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Sovetnikov, Head of the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring Igor Shumakov, Minister of Forestry of RT Ravil Kuzyurov and others took part in the event.
First, together with representatives of federal departments President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Lubyanka forestry college. There they got acquainted with the exhibition of the State Committee of the RT on Archives, dedicated to the history of forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, learned about the digitalization of the forest industry of the republic, visited the master-classes "Geodesy", "Inventory and forest crops", the college museum and sports hall. Representatives of the educational institution told that modern equipment is used in the training of future forestry specialists. At special training grounds, students consolidate acquired knowledge and form necessary competencies.
Afterward, Rustam Minnikhanov and other guests of honor visited an exposition of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, a landscape design studio, and took part in the foundation of a memorable planting dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the State Forestry Management of the Republic of Tatarstan and Lubyanka Forestry Technical College.
Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that forestry and the issue of staff training for this industry will always be under the close attention of the republic's leadership.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan praised the work of the Lubyanka Forestry Technical College. "The material and technical base, the level of teaching, the equipment of the educational institution - all this corresponds to the world standards. It also trains specialists for the World Championship by the World Skills standards. In general, the bulk of today's forestry workers are graduates of the Lubyanka Forestry Technical College," Rustam Minnikhanov stressed.
The President thanked the faculty of the institution, as well as industry veterans. He recalled that exactly 50 years ago he attended college together with his father. "It is very important for me that in the year of the centenary we rejoice together with you over this momentous event. Today Lubyanskiy Forestry College is one of the most promising educational institutions," Rustam Minnikhanov added.
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Sergey Anoprienko stressed that Tatarstan pays great attention to the development of forestry and preservation of the forest fund. "The Republic is a leader in reforestation and afforestation, participates in various infrastructure projects. Serious means are also directed to technical re-equipment. Happy holiday to you, good health, happiness, and further successes," he said.
Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Sovetnikov expressed confidence that the students of the Lubyanka Forestry Technical College will worthily continue the cause of Tatarstan's foresters.
