Currently, the public awareness of the observance of fire safety rules in forests is being raised. The survey of forest areas, populated areas and economics facilities located in the forests is carried out with a view to firefighting management, creation of systems and means of wildfire preventing and fighting, the state of fire-fighting water reservoirs and approaches to them.
The workers of forest establishments equip and clean forests from deadwood in places of public entertainment, along railways and highways, etc.
This delicate white flower symbolizes the end of winter and beginning of spring. Only the snowdrop survives in cold weather of early spring. Other plants are not able to repeat that feat.
The International Day of Snowdrop is celebrated annually on April 19. For the first time it was celebrated in 1984 by the British. Hot on the heels the idea was picked up by other countries.
According to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, there are 18 species of snowdrop and two hybrids in the world. In Russia there are 12 of them. Earlier the snowdrops were easily found in the forests of our republic. But now, some species are faced with extinction, and you will be imposed a fine for snowdrop selling.
The activities under the environmental campaign “Clean forests of Tatarstan” have started in the republic. They are held every year, in spring and autumn, to provide favorable sanitary and environmental conditions in the forests.
During the campaign, which will run until June 15, it is scheduled to clean suburban forests and places of public entertainment, to repair gazebos, to clean and landscape the areas of springs.
The Regional Championship of Working Professions under WorldSkillse (WorldSkills Hi-Tech) – competition of young people working in high-tech sectors of the Russian industry – has been held at the premises of Kazanskaya Yarmarka took place.
684 participants from 17 regions of Russia took part in the competition. 577 experts evaluated the workmanship. A total of 110 sets of medals have been competed for. The competitions were held on 56 competencies divided into 6 key groups: construction, industry, IT, services, civil transport, creativity and design. Lubyansky Forest Engineering College was represented by two teams in the Landscaping. According to the statement of work, the teams were engaged in a conditional building in a park, including laying down of a flowerbed and its flower decoration, road paving using paving slab, wood flooring, planting of ornamental trees and shrubs. The competitors of our teams were the teams of Kazan city and the Moscow Region. In work assessing, the quality of work, productivity, compliance with safety rules and the ability to work in a team were evaluated.
On the last day of the competition the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Minister of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Nikolay Nikiforov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan – the Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov and other heads of ministries and departments of Tatarstan have visited the championship.
The closing ceremony of the Young Professionals Regional Championship was held in the Pyramid Entertaining Complex. Following the results of the competition, the team of students of Lubyansky Forest Engineering College represented by Zakirov Ruzil and Mokhovaya Maria came third, and the team represented by Blokhin Alexander and Tolmacheva Angelina cane second.

On April 13, 2016 the scientific and technical conference “Forests of Russia: politics, industry, science, and education” was held in the St. Petersburg State University of Forestry named after S.M.Kirov. It was devoted to the memory of the Honored Forester of the Russian Federation Professor F.V.Agliullin. The First Deputy Minister of Forestry Kharis Musin who made a presentation “Forests of Russia: politics, industry, science, and education” took part in the conference.
The aim of the conference was to discuss the topical issues of forest policy, industry, science and education in the context of the current state of the economy and to find solutions.
The team of the Ministry met with the teams of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing Services and Utilities of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Our team went to the second round of the volleyball competition having confident victory over the team of the Ministry of Construction.
In Spassky and Arsky Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan the International Day of Birds was celebrated. The specialists of Spassky Nature Sanctuary and Ashit Nature Sanctuary took part in the festivities held in Kolosok Day-Care of the Spassky District and in Solnyshko Day-Care of the Arsky District. The teachers, children, and parents are all together prepared to meet feathered friends – they made birdhouses. The specialists of the sanctuaries told children about the importance of nature and all living around, gave classes “Let’s help the brook”; the competition “Who is the fastest in gathering the bird” and the quiz “Protect the Nature” were held. The children showed great knowledge of birds living in our area, hibernating and migrating birds; the ability to distinguish them by their voices. They declaimed the poems about birds, sang the songs, and solved the riddles. At the end of the events the participants were awarded diplomas and sweet prizes.
In addition to the lessons about the forest resources importance, interesting facts about forest and its inhabitants, the foresters organized a poster competition “Protect forest against fire” upon results of which they awarded winners the recognition gifts and diplomas. The best posters will be used as the means of visual campaign during the upcoming fire season.
Games, puzzles, riddles, guessing birds’ voices, guessing riddles – all of this was entertaining and interesting not only for the participants of the quiz, but viewers who know a lot about birds, their role in nature, and the need to help feathered friends.
At the end, the quiz and the birdhouses competition “House for our friends” were summed up. The most active were awarded diplomas and all participants got gifts.
In the Aksubaevsky Forestry the propaganda forces were organized: Forest Plantations Engineer Marsel Muratshin, District Foresters Alexey Danilov, Ildar Khamidullin and Nikolai Gorbunov. They visited gymnasiums and schools of the Aksubaevsky Municipal District, where they gave forest lessons telling the children about their work and the forest advantages. They answered a lot of questions of students, and encouraged them to preserve the existing forests and observe the rules of stay in the forest while having a rest there.
