In the protected ground, that is, in a greenhouse, in comparison with open ground, soil germination of seeds and seedlings yield increases by 2-5 times. In addition, it is economically viable to grow birch seedlings in greenhouses from seeds of conventional collection, since they reach standard sizes within 1 year, while in the open field the growing period is 2-3 times longer.

Considering all these advantages, the Kzyl-Yulduzsky forestry enterprise plans to sow birch seeds in the spring of 2022 in a greenhouse measuring 6 x 12 meters to obtain 10 thousand pieces of standard planting material during one growing season. In this regard, 6 kg have been harvested this year. birch seeds of the 1st quality class and fertile soil were introduced into the building greenhouse.
