In the Republic of Tatarstan, work continues on the care of young animals. According to specialists from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of October 25 of this year, they were carried out on an area of 2.5 thousand hectares.

In total, this year, thinning in young stands will be carried out on an area of 3 thousand hectares.

For reference. Young growth care includes forestry activities such as clarification and cleaning. Clarification - thinning in a young stand, aimed at improving its species and quality composition and growth conditions of the main breed. It is carried out up to 5-10 years of age, depending on the forest-forming species, the productivity of plantations, and the forest-growing zone.

Clearing - thinning in a young stand, aimed at regulating the density of the stand and improving the growth conditions of trees of the main species, as well as the continuation of the formation of the composition, carried out after a period of clarification until the 20-year age of the stand.
