The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the work performed on the fire-prevention arrangement of forests in 2021. The activities were carried out following the state assignment for the performance of work on the protection, protection, and reproduction of forests on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan in the period from April to October of the current year.
According to the specialists of the sector of protection and protection of the forest fund, this year 2395.2 km of new fire-fighting mineralized belts were created in the republic, and maintenance of the existing barriers with a total length of 4806.9 km was carried out. Also, work was carried out on the construction of fire-fighting roads with a total length of 111.3 km and their reconstruction - 426.5 km. In addition, 794 pieces were installed. stands, signs, and indexes containing information on fire safety measures in the forests, and 225 recreation places for citizens staying in the forests were improved.
