The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan summed up the results of the work performed on forest reproduction in 2021. "In total, reforestation and afforestation were carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan on an area of 7253 hectares," said Timur Galiev, head of the forest reproduction and afforestation department of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. "Of these, within the framework of the regional project "Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan" of the federal project "Preservation of forests" of the national project "Ecology" - on an area of 3855 hectares. The results of the surveys showed that the reforestation activities were carried out following the requirements in a timely agrotechnical period".
"Also this year, workers of subordinate institutions - forestry enterprises have laid protective forest plantations on agricultural land on an area of 1748 hectares, in the Aznakayevsky municipal district - on 1650 hectares. Let me remind you that within the boundaries of the Aznakayevsky region, such plantations were created on the initiative of PJSC TATNEFT as part of offsetting greenhouse gas emissions," added Timur Galiev.
