On November 12, the Russian Federation celebrates the ecological holiday Day ща the Tit. The holiday was created on the initiative of the Russian Bird Conservation Union.
On this day, residents of different settlements of the country are preparing to meet the "winter guests" - birds that remain for the winter in Russian regions: tits, goldfinches, bullfinches, jays, tap dancers, waxwings. They prepare food for them, including "treats for tits": unsalted bacon, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, make and hang feeders.
This year, the Union for the Conservation of Birds of Russia will hold a marathon in social networks dedicated to the ecological holiday "Day of the Tit". It will be organized from 15 to 19 November. Participants of the marathon will be able to learn about the meaning, diet, and features of feeding birds in winter.
