A new procedure for determining the characteristics of wood and its accounting was approved
The Russian government has approved the procedure for determining the characteristics of wood and its accounting. The corresponding decree was published on the official state Internet portal of legal information on November 30, 2021.
Until now, there were no uniform requirements for timber accounting in the Russian Federation. In the approved document, when determining the characteristics of wood and its accounting, for the first time 2 key parameters were regulated: the reproducibility rate and the unbalance rate. The first one defines clear requirements for the process of measuring wood piles, the second - the amount of permissible error arising from the registration of wood in warehouses and its inventory.
Already soon, in the course of the digital transformation of forestry, electronic documents “describing” timber at a felling site, warehouse, processing plant or vehicle will be put into circulation. All these documents can be formed only based on the requirements of the introduced procedure for determining the characteristics of wood and its accounting.
