The press conference devoted to the results of the regional project "Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan" within the federal project "Preservation of forests" of the national project "Ecology" in 2021 took place today in Tatar-inform IA. Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov told about it as well as about other fulfilled works on preservation, protection, and reproduction of forests.
The Minister reminded that the main aim of the regional project is to ensure the balance of forest depletion and regeneration in the ratio of 100% by 2024. To achieve this goal, two target indicators have been set: "the ratio of the area of reforestation and afforestation to the area of felled and dead forest plantations, %" and "damage from forest fires, million rubles". The planned value of the first indicator for 2021 was 77.7%.
In general, this year for the regional project "Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan" the federal budget was allocated 200.5 million rubles. These means were sent for afforestation works (87.9 million rubles), the formation of a stock of seeds of forest plants (131 thousand rubles), and the purchase of forest fire and forestry equipment (112.4 million rubles).
"Under the regional project, this year in the Republic of Tatarstan reforestation works were carried out on the area of 4210 hectares. The value of the target indicator "The ratio of the area of reforestation and afforestation to the area of felled and dead forest stands" amounted to 158%", Ravil Kuzyurov said.
Additional indicators of the regional project "Preservation of Forests in the Republic of Tatarstan" are "Seed reserves of forest plants for reforestation and afforestation, kg" and "The number of grown planting material of forest plants, thousand pieces". Their planned values for 2021 were 11.4 tons of seeds and 30.9 million pieces of seedlings.
"During the year, specialists of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan – forestry enterprises collected 40.2 tons of seeds and produced 34.1 million pieces of seedlings and seedlings," said the Minister. "This amount is sufficient to carry out work for reforestation and afforestation in 2022".
According to the head of the Ministry of Forestry of RT, the second target indicator of the regional project "Preservation of Forests" - "damage from forest fires by years" - is not set in the numerical value because it is the result of a natural phenomenon, not predictable.
"This year both in the Republic of Tatarstan and in other subjects of the Russian Federation the fire season in forests was rather difficult. During the whole period, according to the information system of remote monitoring of the Federal Forestry Agency, 1143 thermal spots were registered. Of these, 890 cases of fires were confirmed in areas bordering forests on the total area of 674.7 hectares," said Ravil Kuzyurov. "Also 19 forest fires were registered. All fires were timely suppressed by forest fire brigades of forestry enterprises of the Republic and territorial departments of the Chief Administration of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan".
As part of the regional project in 2021 were purchased and transferred to subordinate institutions 59 units of machinery and 491 pieces of equipment. These are fire tank trucks AC-3,0-40 (GAZ-33086), small forest patrol complexes, universal forest fire fighting complexes ULPK-4P, tractors "Belarus-82.1", quad bikes, and others.
The Minister also dwelled on the works carried out this year to improve the sanitary condition of forest stands, the results of the federal state forest control (supervision), forest protection, digitalization of forestry complex of the Republic of Tatarstan, and others.
"This year a project on conversion of state services provided by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan into electronic form was implemented. All 10 state services were digitized," Ravil Kuzyurov informed. "Implementation of this project helped to increase citizens' satisfaction with state services and reduce expenses of businesses in their interaction with the state. On average, the Ministry provides 8 thousand services a year. Shortly we plan to improve the quality of public services and reduce the time of their provision".
At the end of the press conference, the Minister answered journalists' questions, in particular about the implementation of measures to support young professionals, fire safety rules in the forests, the purchase of Christmas trees, etc.
