Operation “Spruce” continues in Tatarstan

Operation Spruce continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. “Within its framework, patrolling of forest areas is carried out, and a check of cars at stationary posts is organized for the legality of the transportation of spruce trees. State forest inspectors and specialists of the territorial departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Tatarstan are involved in the events,” said the head of the department of state control and supervision of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Akhmerov. “Last week, 3 facts of illegal felling of forest plantations and 1 fact of illegal collection of coniferous paws were revealed on the territory of Alkeevsky, Sabinsky and Tetyushsky forestries. The damage amounted to 8.7 thousand rubles. Forest patrols will be intensified in the coming days. The operation will last until January 1, 2022.”

The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tajikistan reminds us that illegal felling, damage to forest plantations entails the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens for 3 to 4 thousand rubles, on officials - from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, on legal entities - from 200 to 300 thousand rubles. In addition, a person who has committed illegal felling will have to compensate for the damage caused to forests, which depends on the species of the felled tree and the place of its growth, the category of forest protection.
