Rosleskhoz discussed the issues of digitization of forest management data

Today, the Federal Forestry Agency hosted a meeting via videoconference on the issues of digitization of forest management data. It was conducted by Vyacheslav Spirenkov, Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg”, forestry management bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, incl. from the Republic of Tatarstan - First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, head of the department of the state forest registry, forest use, and forest management of the Ministry Ramil Gilmanshin.

Opening the meeting, Vyacheslav Spirenkov recalled that following Federal Law No. 304-FZ of July 2, 2021, the powers for forest management on the lands of the forest fund were transferred to the federal level - to subordinate institutions of the Federal Forestry Agency. “Currently, the development of the Federal State Information System of the Forestry Complex (FSIS LK) is underway. One of the components of the system will be the electronic state forest registry,” he said. “The task is to create a database of forest management work carried out in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation as soon as possible.”

Further, brief presentations were made by representatives of the forestry management bodies, who presented their experience in digitalization of the forestry complex, digitization of forest management data.

In particular, the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilgizar Zaripov, spoke about the progress of the digital transformation of the forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, developed by the Geographic Information System of the Forest Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, a service for monitoring and controlling the state of the forest fund, as well as digitizing data on forest inventory.
