Employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kzyl-Yulduzsky forestry” are harvesting coniferous seeds. “In total, since the beginning of the season, in December and January, 6 tons of Scots pine cones were collected, of which 2.5 tons were processed and 25 kg of seeds were obtained,” said Ivan Bolshakov, reforestation engineer of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kzyl-Yulduzsky forestry”. “Processing of cones is carried out on a stationary cone dryer of the Capper type.”
“Currently, it is operating at full capacity, almost all employees are involved in the processing of forest seeds,” added Ivan Bolshakov. “In total, this year it is necessary to prepare at least 30 kg of coniferous seeds. The plan will be completed on time.”
