Today, the Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District held a meeting of the headquarters for the coordination of activities to extinguish forest fires in the Volga Federal District. The meeting was held via videoconference chaired by the head of the department Alexander Ornatsky.
The event was attended by representatives of the forest management bodies of the district, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov and the head of the sector for the protection and protection of the forest fund of the Ministry Alexei Mosunov.
Opening the meeting, Alexander Ornatsky focused on the development and approval of master plans for extinguishing forest fires, conducting agitation and explanatory work among the population on compliance with the requirements of fire safety rules in forests, conducting command and staff exercises to prevent and eliminate natural fires, etc.
“In March, the regions will check the readiness of forest fire stations for the start of the fire season in the forests of 2022. The first in line are the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Orenburg Region,” he said.
