The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan is preparing for the International Action “Garden of Memory”. It is expected that the action will be organized in the Republic of Tatarstan in late April - early May 2022.
Currently, work is underway to determine the location of sites on the territory of the forest fund and municipal districts, as well as to determine the species composition of planting material.
“To date, plots on an area of about 200 hectares have been selected,” said Timur Galiev, head of the department for reforestation and afforestation of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. “In total, more than 1 million seedlings are planned to be planted as part of the campaign. We invite all Tatarstan residents to join the campaign and plant a tree in honor of their hero.”
Recall that for the first time the International Action “Garden of Memory” was held in 2020. It is organized by the All-Russian public movement “Volunteers of Victory” and the Victory Generals Memorial Fund with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency. The purpose of the action is to plant 27 million trees in memory of the 27 million who died during the Great Patriotic War.
