Tatarstan launches events dedicated to International Day of Forests
The Republic of Tatarstan has launched events dedicated to the International Day of Forests. Thus, employees of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Yelabuzhsky forestry” held a lesson on the topic “Forest is our wealth” for pupils of the school forestry “ShkoLes” MBOU “Secondary School No. 10” in Naberezhnye Chelny. During the lesson, Irek Safin, district forester of the Tatarstan district forestry, and Oksana Smirnova, reforestation engineer, told the students about the role of forests in nature and human life, and the work carried out in the republic to protect, protect and regenerate forests.
There was also a discussion and exchange of views on the possibilities of improving the environment, conservation of forest and water resources.
The district forester of the Svetlogorsk district forestry of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Cheremshansky forestry” Vladimir Kudryashov delivered a lecture at the MBOU “Ulyanovsky secondary school” of the Cheremshansky district. Within its framework, the ecological, economic, and social functions of forests, areas of environmental protection, types of forest profile professions, etc. were considered.
International Day of Forests will be celebrated on Monday, March 21st. The purpose of this holiday is to attract public attention to the problems of conservation and enhancement of forest resources, to disseminate knowledge about the importance of forest ecosystems, their true state, the main measures for their protection and restoration. In 2022, the theme of the International Day of Forests is “Forests: sustainable production and consumption”.
