Today in the city of Votkinsk, Udmurt Republic, interregional exercises were held to prevent and extinguish forest fires. The event was organized by the Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Udmurt Republic.
The participants of the exercises were greeted by the head of the Forestry Department for the Volga Federal District Alexander Ornatsky, the head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the UR Petr Fomin, and others.
During the exercises, the following training situation (legend) was worked out: a message was received from the duty control center of the Votkinsk forestry about the detection of a fire in the territory of the Votkinsk district. The total area of the fire is 40 hectares, including forest plantations - 10 hectares, burning grass vegetation - 30 hectares. The source of ignition in the forest is located in the allotment of the 12th quarter of the 19th of the Iyulsky district forestry of the Votkinsky forestry. Due to the impact of gusty winds, the area of grass burning increased to 60 hectares, forest fire - up to 15 hectares. There is a further spread of the fire towards the village of Dvigatel and deep into the forest, there is a threat of the fire spreading to the settlement.
The exercise was attended by representatives of the forest management bodies of the Volga Federal District, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Rais Gumerov, director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” Aidar Gaifullin, specialists from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for SD, local authorities, etc.
