On March 26, the environmental action “Earth Hour-2022” will be held
On March 26 of this year, the environmental action “Earth Hour-2022” will be held. This action, organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), is designed to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. The event will take place from 20:30 to 21:30.
Traditionally, at this hour, millions of people around the world turn off their lights and household appliances, and tens of thousands of world-famous buildings and attractions turn off their lights.
“In Earth Hour, we invite you to turn off the lights and think about what we all have in common – earthlings. We have only one planet, and it belongs to everyone. It is irreplaceable, and we must do everything to preserve it, even in the most difficult times. We must remember that not only people live on this planet, but also other earthlings: millions of species of living beings. We must take care of each other, no matter what happens. Therefore, the slogan of the action this year is to continue to help,” said Dmitry Gorshkov, Director of WWF Russia.
Earth Hour is the most massive global action in the history of mankind - 2 billion people around the world and more than 180 countries participate in it. The action has been held in Russia since 2009, it is organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.
