The results of the work of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” and issues of preparation for the fire season in the forests were discussed at the Ministry
Today Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov paid a working visit to the Vysokogorsky municipal district. There he inspected the readiness of the type III forest fire station of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” for the upcoming fire season in the forests. Explanations during the inspection were given by the director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” Aidar Gaifullin. He said that there are 14 pieces of equipment at this facility, including 4 fire trucks, as well as the necessary fire equipment and other special equipment for extinguishing forest fires.
After that, Ravil Kuzyurov held a meeting via videoconference on the results of the work of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” in 2021 and preparations for the fire season in 2022. It was attended by Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov, manager of affairs Elmira Shagayeva, heads and specialists of structural divisions of the Ministry, State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center”, forestry managers of forestries, directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.
Aidar Gaifullin made the keynote speech. He said that the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center” includes 5 types III forest fire stations and regional dispatch service. “The staffing during the fire season is 90 people (of which 60 people are seasonal workers),” Aidar Gaifullin said.
He briefly dwelled on the set of measures carried out in 2021 for the fire-fighting arrangement of forests, the installation of information boards and full houses on fire-fighting topics, patrolling the forest fund, and forest fire propaganda.
“In general, last year 19 forest fires were registered on an area of 210 hectares. Also, 7 natural fires were recorded on the lands of protected areas and other categories,” added the director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center”.
As tasks for 2021, Aidar Gaifullin outlined the prevention of forest fires, the conduct of propaganda and explanatory work among the population on compliance with fire safety rules in forests, and the additional staffing of type III forest fire stations following the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated July 19, 2019 No. 1605-r.
Summing up the results of the meeting, Ravil Kuzyurov gave the specialists several instructions related to patrolling the lands of the forest fund during the fire hazard period, restocking forest fire stations, maintaining technical documentation, etc.
“Last fire season in the forests was the busiest since 2010. However, we did not allow emergencies to arise. I thank everyone for their joint work,” the minister said. “Another wild season is ahead. I ask everyone to be ready at any time of the day to promptly respond to reports of fires near the forest fund. Our common task is to do everything to minimize the possibility of forest fires.”
