The team of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in chess competitions as part of the Spartakiad of civil servants of the Republic of Tatarstan

On March 26-27 this year, Kazan hosted chess competitions as part of the Spartakiad of civil servants of the Republic of Tatarstan. The competitions were held based on the State Agrarian School of Chess, Checkers, and Go named after R. G. Nezhmetdinov.

The team of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan consisting of Timur Galiev, Damir Tukhvatov, Alsu Valieva, and Almira Nurtdinova took part in the competition.

“I fell in love with chess as a child. For me, chess is a whole world, with an infinite number of combinations. I am amazed by the ability of grandmasters to calculate the whole game in their heads in a few minutes,” says Alsu Valieva. “Therefore, I took part in the tournament with pleasure, it was very interesting to test my abilities and meet new people.”

Recall that the Spartakiad of civil servants of the Republic of Tatarstan has been held since 2011 to create conditions for the physical improvement of civil servants, the preservation and development of physical culture, and sports movement in the territory of the republic. This year there will also be competitions in volleyball, basketball, futsal, swimming, athletics, etc.
