Today, a meeting was held in the administration building in the village of Apastovo on preparations for the fire hazardous and silvicultural seasons of 2022. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Rais Gumerov, head of the Executive Committee of the Apastovsky municipal district Almaz Tugushev, heads and specialists of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Buinsky forestry”, the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Buinsky forestry enterprise”, representatives of the district department of agriculture and food, heads of rural settlements.
Ilnar Gataullin, Head of the State Institution of Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Buinsky forestry”, made the keynote speech. “In preparation for the fire hazard period, a plan was developed to extinguish forest fires on the territory of the Buinskoye forestry, forest fire stations and fire equipment concentration points were checked, patrol routes for forest fund lands were approved, training was organized for teams of forest fire stations, members of voluntary fire brigades under the Tactics and Equipment program extinguishing forest fires,” he said. “Currently, explanatory work is being carried out among the population on compliance with fire safety rules in forests.”
“In the second quarter, firefighting measures for forests will be carried out,” added Ilnar Gataullin. “Preparations for the silvicultural campaign are also in full swing. Specialists are engaged in stratification of seeds of forest plants, preparation of silvicultural machinery and equipment.”
Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov summed up the results of the meeting. He stressed the need to comply with paragraph 10 of the fire safety rules in forests, namely, the need to clean the areas adjacent to the forest from the day the snow cover melts from dry grassy vegetation, crop residues, deadwood, logging residues or to separate the forest with a fire-resistant mineralized strip or other fire barriers. “We must not forget that the successful passage of the fire season in the forests depends on the well-coordinated work and interaction of all structures and organizations. We must not prevent emergencies from arising,” concluded Rais Gumerov.
