Employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Privolzhsky Forestry” held a lesson on the topic “Forest and People” in the MBDOU “Verkhneuslonsky Kindergarten “Beryozka”. Within its framework, engineers Niyaz Shaikhutdinov and Elena Iskhakova told the children about forests, their most important water protection, protective, economic, and social functions, as well as fire and sanitary safety rules in forests.
“Forests are called the “lungs of the planet” for a reason. Each leaf, each blade of grass is a small factory where complex transformations take place under the influence of sunlight and heat, ending with the release of oxygen,” said Niyaz Shaikhutdinov. “Forests also support the full flow of rivers, streams, and reservoirs, soften and humidify the climate of the surrounding area. In addition, the forest is a filter that cleans the air from dust and soot, a source of berries, mushrooms, medicinal plants, and material values.”
At the end of the meeting, forestry specialists presented diplomas and memorable prizes to the participants of the Best Bird Feeder contest.
