Specialists of the Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan started work on the inspection of basic forest nurseries
Employees of the branch of the FBU “Roslesozashchita” “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan” began work on the survey of basic forest nurseries to assess the planting material used in the reproduction of forests. In April, according to the schedule, 13 batches of seedlings from three nurseries of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Mamadyshsky Forestry” were checked. During the examination, the height and diameter of the stem at the root collar of at least 100 plants from each evaluated lot were measured. Also, special attention was paid to identifying damage to seedlings by pests or fungal diseases, the presence of weeds, etc.
According to experts, the condition of nurseries and planting material was assessed as good.
